93 formats across video, audio, images, documents, e-books, spreadsheets, presentations, archives, fonts, vector graphics and CAD drawings, which adds up to 1,766 conversions. After you choose a file, only the formats it can really become are shown.

Yes. Videos can be converted to other video formats, to audio (MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG and more) or to an animated GIF. A GIF can also be turned into an MP4 or WEBM video.

Yes. PDF converts to DOCX, DOC, ODT, RTF, TXT, HTML, Markdown, EPUB and FB2, and to JPG, PNG, WEBP or SVG pages. Scanned PDFs have no text to extract, so they need OCR, which is not included.

Videos can be up to 500 MB, audio up to 200 MB, archives up to 500 MB, images up to 60 MB and documents or spreadsheets up to 100 MB. You can add up to 20 files at once.

Files are used only to perform your conversion and are deleted automatically about 30 minutes after it finishes. We never look at or share them.

Not always. When a video's streams already fit the new container they are copied untouched. Lossless-to-lossless conversions are identical. Re-encoding to a lossy format costs a little detail, which the quality setting controls.

Press Save to device. On a phone the share sheet opens so you can save to Photos or Files, or send the file to another app. On a computer a Save As window lets you pick the folder. A normal download is always available as a backup.

Formats such as JPG and BMP cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background colour. You can choose the colour in the options.

Yes. The converter runs in your mobile browser. You can also add it to your home screen from the browser menu so it opens like an app.

No. Files protected by copy protection, such as purchased iTunes videos, commercial DVDs or password-locked PDFs, cannot be converted. Your own files are fine.

The most common reasons are a damaged file, a file renamed to the wrong extension, a password-protected file or a file over the size limit. Check the message under the file, and try again with the original.
